The Brief 

Mr & Mrs Harris needed outdoor space to make the most of an unused area of the garden for relaxation as well as office capability. As you can see in the ‘before’ image below, the available plot had a sloped grass bank.

The Solution

We excavated into the bank and shored up the land with retaining walls and a reinforced concrete base to create a large, flat plot for the garden room. The client also wanted design features, such as external decking, to create a one-off look. This was achieved with sloping buttresses and triangular windows to complement the sloping land.

The Success

Mr & Mrs Harris were delighted with the final result – particularly the creative use of a difficult space that still compliments the surrounding garden.
